Panel & Drawer Enclosures:
The panels are constructed out of steel sheet of
sizes 1.5, 2 & 2.5mm, bolted design, free
standing and self-supporting type. They are
compartmented for incoming feeder, main bus
bar section, outgoing cable section and
starter/feeder section. They have a standard
Height of 2300mm (with base frame) and 400/600/800mm
width and 600/800mm depth.
Each panel can accommodate maximum up to 10 drawer
unit of 4M size (1 module as spare
at bottom)
The drawer enclosure are made of galvanized sheet
steel and the drawer units are sized as
4M, 6M, 8M, 10M, 12M with each M equal to 50mm

Surface treatment:
The metal part are protected from corrosion by
process of degreasing and phosphating and painting.
The paints are epoxy resin and applies
electrostatically and baked (powder coating). The
final thickness of coat is up to 70 and is resistant
to diluted inorganic acids and alkalin as well as
fuel or oil. If is not affected by most of
industrial dusts in harsh environment. The color is
usually RAL7032 or 7035, other colors at request.
Horizontal bus bar
Compartment:
The main bus bars are mounted
horizontally. They are installed in a separate and
isolated compartment at the top of panel with
separate door which segregate the bus bar from
equipment installed in lower space.
Up to 3 bus bars for a phase
and a separate bus bar for control
supply is installed in this compartment.
Rating : up to 4000 A
Vertical bus bar:
Vertical bus bar are drapped
from main bus bar and are installed in galvanized
sheet-steel channels inside cubicle. Openings are
available in each, drawer space by automatic safety
shutters. These shutters are operated by drawer unit
function.
Rating : up to 2500 A
Safety features & case of operation:
The design of panel affords maximum safety to
operators and personnel. The safety feature of
panels are as follows:
- Compartment design for bus bar compartment,
switchgear compartment and cable compartment.
- Isolated and segregated bus bar compartment to
prevent arcing progress.
- Each drawer unit has its own compartment with
separate door which can be closed separately
allowing to work on a unit while other units are
functioning.
- Ventilations and pressure relief channel. The
mechanical construction of panel is such that it
allows natural air circulation through drawer
module, vertical bus bar channel, main bus bar
compartment and cable compartment to cable channel.
The channel work as pressuresafety system in case of
internal arcing.
- Spacious cable compartment for ease of cabling
work and wire termination.
- Safety shutter in front of vertical bus bar allows
working on a drawer unit while panel is live.
- Main switch interlocked with door to prevent door
opening when it is in closed position.
- Each drawer unit is standard product which allows
for similar unit exchange. Ease of operation and
maintenance.
